Diane and Stitch

Just when I’m completely immersed in the research of one surname, and I mean a full throttle search including a visit to the ancestral homeland as well as three different National Archives repositories and a road trip following the path of the family, yet not quite finished with the compilation of data, something new comes my way. What’s a girl to do?

Genealogy typically attracts some quirky folks, myself included. Some of us are a bit OCD or ADD, or in my case, a little of both. Yesterday, Lilo unexpectedly sent me another package of photos which sent me in a new direction. But what to do with the piles of paper all over the office floor from my recent trip to Japan, DC, Texas etcetera? Hmm? I couldn’t quite stop in the middle, but I was compelled to scan those new pictures. It was time to accept fate and try to work on both projects at nearly the same time. Thanks, Lilo, for sending the pics. And thanks, Stitch, for being a pack-rat and not throwing out those fantastic images.
